Summer Reading

Summer assignments are not busy work.  It is estimated that students lose 1-2.6 months of learning over the summer, which is a lot of time in APUSH.  They are intended to keep you cognitively sharp. Specifically, APUSH assignments will give us a "jump start" on the year by covering the first two chapters and will result in more manageable unit tests for you.  Trust me when I say that while I cannot promise a passing score on the AP test if you do your best and follow my advice & directions you WILL be prepared to accomplish just that.
If there is change to your schedule before or just at the beginning of school, don't worry, contact me at jeremy.steffy@sarasotacountyschools to make arrangements. If you have just moved into the RHS/Sarasota district, or just picked up the course and haven't had a chance to do the summer assignments see me ASAP to work out a plan for completion.
